The Royal Brook Foundation donated $7,500 to Addi's Faith Foundation. The grant will be used to help fund childhood cancer research as well as helping to provide financial assistance to families struggling to care for their child with cancer.
Addi's Faith is local to Kingwood and was established in 2008 after the name sake, Addison Faith, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2007. The foundation is dedicated to ending childhood cancer.
The Woodtrace Foundation made a $4,000 donation to the Tomball Intermediate School Library. The grant was able to provide a 3D printer the printer supplies, small robots arts and crafts items, and legos for building with challenge card to challenge students to build and create something out of their legos. Art pads were purchased that use water pens for students to draw on and feel confident in their drawings. After drawing for a bit, the art drys and fades away which is great for practicing their art skills.
The Tavola Foundation donated $1,500 to Montgomery County Food Bank. The grant will be used to provide meals for children and families in need in Montgomery County. $1 equals five meals that the food bank can provide. With that, the Tavola Foundation is able to help provide 7,500 meals to those in need.
