Tavola Foundation Makes $1,500 Donation to Montgomery County Food Bank

December 21, 2021

The Tavola Foundation donated $1,500 to Montgomery County Food Bank. The grant will be used to provide meals for children and families in need in Montgomery County. $1 equals five meals that the food bank can provide. With that, the Tavola Foundation is able to help provide 7,500 meals to those in need.

The Montgomery County Food Bank has about 1.4 million pounds of food coming in and out of the food bank in a month. The amount of food needed increases during the holiday season with families needing a little more help get back on their feet. With the food banks retail partners, H-E-B, Kroger, and Walmart, the food bank is able to help provide meals to even more families.

Currently, the food bank is trying to raise 100,000 pounds in food donations in their Stock the Sleigh event. Learn how you can join the Tavola Foundation and the Montgomery County Food Bank in stocking the sleigh this year here, https://mcfoodbank.org/stockthesleigh/

The Tavola Foundation was created to invest in the future of Tavola and the surrounding area by sponsoring programs and events that enhance the quality of life for the community residents.
