Two Friendswood Development Company Communities Make the 50 Top-Selling Master-Planned Communities in the Nation List for 2022January 16, 2023
Two master-planned communities created by Friendswood Development Company made the list of the 50 top-selling in the nation for 2022. RCLCO Real Estate Consulting compiles the list each year by conducting a national survey identifying the top-selling MPCs through a rigorous search of high-performing communities in each state. This initiative exists not only as a way to commend the most successful communities in the country, but also as a tool for monitoring the overall health of the for-sale housing industry, a means of locating markets with the most significant residential momentum, a process for highlighting the trends affecting communities large and small, and a medium through which to learn development best practices and pass along lessons learned from the MPCs that have pioneered their way into the top ranks. The ranking of top communities is based on total home sales as reported by each community.
Tavola in New Caney, Texas placed 23rd on the list with 508 new home sales in 2022. Tavola, Italian for “gathering place," is located two miles north of the Grand Parkway on Highway 59. The community, which features the on-site Tavola Elementary School, is nestled within acres of woods filled with miles of greenbelt trails and man-made lakes. On-site amenities include the Recreational Center with a zipline and a community pool as well as several neighborhood parks. Homes range from the $200s to $700s; current builders include: Lennar, M/I, Perry Homes, and Westin Homes.
Becker Crossing located in Hockley, Texas was ranked 36th on the list with 410 sales in 2022. The community is located in Northwest Houston and is zoned to Waller ISD schools. Becker Crossing is convenient to many area attractions, including the Houston Premium Outlets as well as the huge variety of shopping, dining and recreation options in the 290 corridor. It is also situated minutes from the Grand Parkway for easy commuting to any part of Houston.
