Director of Land Development

The Director of Land Development is responsible for all aspects of master-planned communities from the design and engineering to homesite sales and marketing.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages inter-disciplinary design and development team including engineers, designers and marketers to create and sell property in master-planned communities.
- Establishes financial business plans and annual company plans for assigned communities for review and approval. Stewards project expenses and revenues throughout the fiscal year.
- Negotiates and contracts with homebuilders to purchase homesites.
- Negotiates and closes sale of commercial land in communities.
- Influences and approves the marketing plan for each community.
- Serves as president of the homeowner associations.
Education and Experience Requirement
- BS degree in engineering, accounting, land planning, marketing or other related field required
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in project engineering, development or marketing preferred
- Valid drivers license and a good driving record
- Proficient with computer programs and a working knowledge of new technology such as iPads
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
