According to the Houston Chronicle, there are no bum steers in this year’s rodeo line up! This year’s list of performances will be the best to date with everyone from country music royalty to up-and-comers as well as pop music crossovers.

This year Alabama will open the rodeo concert series on February 28, followed by country music powerhouse Lady Antebellum on March 1. Last year Lady A performed for over 70,000 fans at Reliant Center. Married couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will be performing in early March as well. “Lambert's four studio albums have all hit the top of the album chart, and she's earned almost every award imaginable. Her 2011 Rodeo Houston show currently ranks fourth in all-time paid attendance.”

The queen of country, Reba McEntire, will perform on March 9 for Paint the Rodeo Pink Day, honoring breast cancer survivors. She has graced the Houston Rodeo sixteen times and in 2007 was inducted into the Star Trail of Fame. Reba McEntire is one of only five performers in rodeo history to perform for an audience of over 1 million fans.
